My name is Becky, and I work for the Lake Worth Library, so let me tell you all about it.

The PBCC Lake Worth Library or The Library Learning Resource Center (LLRC), located is on the two top floors of the Harold C. Manor Library on the west side of the Lake Worth campus. (http://www.pbcc.edu/documents/Locations/LakeWorth.pdf)

On the second floor we have Periodicals, we subscribe to over 2200 titles of magazines, journals and newspapers in both microform and paper formats. You also have access to over 70 online databases in the library, or your office, or at home via the library homepage. You do need a library card to access the databases.

Next door we have the Reference Desk, Atlases, almanacs, biographical information, directories, dictionaries, encyclopedias and much more Reference books do not circulate, but must be used in the library. A librarian is available to assist you in using the Reference collection, in locating information on different subjects, and in using the online catalog, and various electronic databases. If you need some research done, contact the Reference Desk (868-3713), or access Ask a Librarian via the Library web page.

The 3rd floor is books; we have approximately 150,000 volumes in the collection. Regular circulating books may be checked out for 21 days. Special collections include the Erling Mystery, and leisure reading paperback collection. Circulation Desk and The Reserve Room is a temporary collection of materials placed in the library by faculty to provide limited loan periods and maximum access.

 FAX Service
You can send and receive faxes on the third floor for a fee: Sending a Fax First page: $1.00 (Additional pages 50¢ per page, cover sheet no charge) Receiving a Fax 10¢ per page.

Copy Machines
A public copy machine is located on each floor. Copies cost $.10 per page.

Library hours vary during holidays, special events, summer terms, and between terms. Changes will be announced and/or posted. The usual hours are:

Monday–Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Friday:  2 floor 7:30 a.m. -5:00 p.m. 3 floor 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
